Play requires this document to be reachable at a public, permanent link (no sign-in, no
redirect to a form). The link goes into Play Console → App content → Privacy policy, and the
same link belongs in the store listing.
Subota does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on any server. Your videos,
subtitles, teleprompter scripts and settings stay on your device. The developer has no access
to them.
Video files. You pick a video yourself through the system file picker. The app reads it to
show it, to extract audio for speech recognition and to render subtitles onto it. The video is
never uploaded and never copied off your device.
Audio from the video. For automatic subtitles the audio track is decoded and recognised
entirely on the device, offline. Audio is not sent to any cloud or third-party service.
Your content. Subtitles, styles, presets, teleprompter scripts and video-editor projects are
stored in the app's local database in private storage. Finished videos are saved to your gallery
(Movies/Subota).
Personal data. The app has no sign-up. It does not ask for your name, email or phone number,
does not read contacts, does not determine your location, contains no advertising or analytics
SDKs, and does not use the advertising ID.
The app contacts the network in exactly one case: to download once the speech-recognition
model file (~181 MB) from Hugging Face:

This is a plain file download. None of your data is sent with it. Once downloaded, the model
stays on the device and recognition works without an internet connection.

The app does not request system-wide access to your photos and videos: files are chosen
through the system picker, which grants access only to the file you selected.
The app is free. Some features are unlocked by a paid Subota Pro subscription; everything
else works without paying and without limits.
All payments are processed by Google Play. The developer never receives or stores your card
number, billing details or any other payment information — the app only asks Google Play whether
you have an active subscription and receives "yes" or "no" in return.
Your purchase history is available in your Google Play account. Refunds follow Google Play
policies.
If Android backup is enabled on your device, the app's data may be included in a backup of your
own Google account. This is an Android mechanism; the developer has no access to those backups.
It can be turned off in Android settings.
The app is not directed at children and does not collect data about them.
All data is stored locally. Uninstalling the app removes it completely. You can also clear it
separately in Settings → Apps → Subota → Storage → Clear data. Since there is no data on
any server, there is no deletion request to send anywhere.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same link with a new
effective date.
